B2070/Chapel Common/Parallel to B2070/Railway Line

1. Out of Haslemere, through Liphook, on the B2070 – direction Petersfield. Past The Black Fox on your right on to a dual carriageway. Before you get to Rake do a U turn, leaving a minor road on your left and then take the first track to your left.
2. Proceed along this track until you see a private drive ahead. Park the car. You will see two tracks to your right, take the first heading E then SE.
3. This will take you back to the road, but do no not go that far, rather follow the Serpent Trail sign to the left. Then proceed almost due N and you will reach a Railway Bridge.
4. Before the Bridge take the FP to the left, and follow that all the way back to your car.
This is a shortish walk but can be lengthened by: -
1. Cross the Railway under the bridge, then bear left. At the Home Farm entrance carry straight on, past a house, and take the FP left.
2. This takes you to a minor road, heading S, and after a road to your right, you will see a Byway to your left. Follow this and you should reach your car.
