1. Depart Haslemere by car and head for Northchapel on the Petworth Road. At the x-road in the village turn left and at Piper’s Cottages, where the road does a sharp right angle turn, park your car.
2. Follow the FP sign to Upper Frithfold Farm, and bear right through a gate, just after the buildings. Follow the path, and take the first FP to the left. Follow this path until you reach Rumbolds Farm. Carry straight on until you reach a T and turn left.
3. Along a minor road which leads into Plaistow (you are now off the map, but trust me), and take the first FP to the left. It is at the beginning of a drive to a house, and the stile is immediately on your left. Over the stile and take the next fork to the right.
4. This leads to a T where you turn left, and then it is straight straight, ignoring a FP to the left, until you come to Birchfold/Birchfield. Carry on down its access road and you will arrive back at your car near Piper’s Cottages.
